The nice thing about construction sites are the large piles of dirt they leave scattered about for the climbing. Playing ants, I think, was really all about digging your hands into the earth and getting covered in dirt. I'm not sure one can replicate the tactile benefits of clamboring about on huge piles of dirt in a way that is socially acceptable for adults.
